Supporting you on your babywearing journey

My eldest, Hughie, was born in April 2016. I had a very vague plan of wanting to carry him, specifically for making walking the dog a bit easier, but assumed that I would mainly be using the pram/buggy. So I went along to my local Sling Library drop-in for a bit of advice.

From that visit, I dived straight in at the baby wearing deep end using a woven wrap! And started exploring the variety of different slings the baby wearing world had to offer. I began volunteering for Salisbury Sling Library, helping do the admin at the meets before then training as a peer supporter and giving support and advice to local families myself.

Since having baby number 2, Felix, in February 2018, being part of the Library has given me the wonderful opportunity to try out many different types of slings; numerous stretchy wraps, hybrid stretchies, kangaroo care tops, ring slings, soft structured carriers and MANY different beautiful woven wraps. My own stash of slings slowly grew and the pram stayed in the loft!

I trained as a baby wearing consultant in March 2019 after agreeing to take on the running of the library alongside my own consultancy and retail business, launched in August 2019.

Helix Baby is my babywearing and retail business, born out of a passion for carrying our children, keeping them close and educating others in the hope it will become an everyday part of parenting again.

Individual consultations can be tailored to your specific needs, and you can learn at a pace to suit you and baby in a private setting.
