Meh Dai, Onbuhimo, Podegi, half buckle. There are many different types of carriers that come under this heading, but all consist of a panel of fabric with straps. They can be worn on the front, back or hip. Like a woven wrap, these offer great support for the wearer and child and are extremely versatile.

Meh Dais are a cost effective carrier that can be used from birth to toddler. The beauty of a Meh Dai is that with the tie straps they are ultimately adjustable. For comfort it is worth looking at ones with wrap straps or with some shoulder padding. Many small companies produce Meh Dais and they come in a stunning array of fabrics.
