Supporting you on your babywearing journey

COVID-19 update - Susie hosts first Sling Library meet after lockdown!

Salisbury Sling Library is set to make a come back with their meets next week!

I’ve been working really hard recently to get the Sling Library meets back up and running, so we can offer free fitting and troubleshooting advice to the local parents and caregivers of Salisbury and the surrounding areas.

Of course, due to current Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, we will not be able to offer our usual social aspect to the meets; sadly no refreshments or being able to sit and chat with other like-minded parents for the time being. But you will be able to book in and get free, basic babywearing advice and hire a sling!

Before baby number 3 arrives, I will be hosting the first of the Sling Library meets next week on Wednesday 21st October, Old Sarum Community Hall from 10am. We are planning other meets at Fordingbridge Salvation Army and Salisbury Arts Centre in the coming months too, so please keep an eye out on the Library Facebook page.

The meets will no longer be ‘drop-in’ style, and it is important that you pre-book your appointment via the Sling Library website if you’d like to be seen and hire a sling.

As always, the meets are run voluntarily! I, and the other volunteer Peer Supporters, give up our time for free so that basic babywearing advice and hire is available for everyone. However, please consider giving a donation towards the costs of running the Library, thank you.

So if you need some fitting advice for your own sling, would like a recommendation for a sling to hire or would like to know the very basics for carrying your newborn, pre-book your 10 minute appointment via the Salisbury Sling Library website
